Dense and full and all too apt.

Yes. Just crossed the river into St. Paul.

Surreal. A guy filming an (ugly) arrest at a Speedway station nearby knocked to the ground (slush) and detained for several hours, then released. Just one example.

Daily, events take my breath away, and then I wonder why that is so. Collectively, we've overlooked and looked away from so many markers of this day and time. The unraveling is happening so quickly/has been building for so long.

It gets worse. 50 agents to arrest one suspect? Breaking down doors of private homes? Blocking off streets and going door to door? My Somali neighbors are terrified.

Unfortunately, I believe this will get worse. It will spread and it will grow until enough of us recognize that we must take action. Our country will never be the same, but we have the opportunity to decide what we want it to be. We must act and reimagine. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it.

You picture subsidence. This is what happens when the ground of reality moves under the rigid structures of beliefs.

It is, Jim. It is!

Especially powerful to read this again now, given all that is happening.

There is so much going on here. Pure genius!

Oh, that last line. Perfection.

Huh, I've never thought about it quite like that before.
