Elizabeth’s poetry opens an intimate window into her world and invites me to meet her there. I love to linger on 26th Avenue where we so often share a laugh at the gentle absurdity of life and ourselves. Where ordinary days are sketched with beauty and with reverence.
This is magical. Hummingbirds love our Rose of Sharon trees in the summer and yesterday one was just hovering outside one of the living room windows briefly--never seen that happen before. It seemed like such a gift. When we used to have a hot tub, they would frequently fly over and look at us. (sorry the original auto-correcting of my dictating was auto-mistaking)
Quietly kickass indeed! Elizabeth's work gently lures my attention before riveting it to the page, the phrase, her vision.
Love and gratitude to you, Kim! 💛🌿

Welcome on the Avenue any time, Ann! 💛🌿

They are miraculous creatures, aren't they? Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
I'm so glad to have read it during a crazy, frustrating morning--it was a center of calm.
One of my favorite streets for poetry!

A beautiful moment in time, delicately orchestrated.
Thank you, Melanie!
"consents to sit", "I swear I see him sigh"--I love those lines!
Beautiful! That last line--if only we all could enjoy a sunlit aerial sweetness sipping day!
