ROADRUNNER IN SPRING
I think this roadrunner should be confronted by a feminist. But seriously, nicely done!
Thanks, Deborah. And if you watch that Attenborough episode, you will see the feminist birds in action.
"Doesnโt an all-lowercase poem with commas look like a man wearing spats with a Speedo?"

"a man wearing spats with a Speedo"
Spit laughing here, knowing that I don't use commas. Except when I do.
BTW - I see the couplets, too.
I cannot unsee the Speedo. Genius! (As an aside, Maya made me take out all of the commas in a flash piece I wrote about Joni Mitchell. But I know sheโd approve of this one.) ๐คฃ๐๐๐
I like the irregular zig-zag form of the poem. It suits.
"zygodactyl" is a delightful word.
My feisty red-headed Aunt Carol collected roadrunner folk art, it's amusing to think of your "saucer-eyed Lothario" in that context.
Love this poem, and the description with it! Fun and interesting!
As almost everyone has already said, love the speedo bit!
I really enjoy reading your poetry and this craft note is my new favourite thing :)
Thanks, Aditi! Good to know you enjoyed the craft note. I add them from time to time.
Wonderful. Makes me want to be a better man! ;-)
A bird worthy of the homage. And love the craft notes. Thanks.
Thank you, Ronald. I imagine you donโt see any roadrunners where you live.
