Such a compelling description! Such a satisfying bite in "if that's the word."

❤️ Complaining about the weather in as many rhymed couplets as will fit in 11 lines. 😊 Hope AWP was rich and rewarding and everything you hoped.

It was excellent! I attended three panels and enjoyed from/learned from each one. One was a panel with one of the co-editors and four of the contributors to a new anthology, Wanting: Women Writing About Desire that was very good (I immediately put the book on hold at the library). I attended one reading (Naugatauk Review/Wordpeace) that I enjoyed and was surprised to find a local poet I know (Suzanne Edison) as one of the poets. And I spent about five hours in the Bookfair, thoroughly enjoying talking with various editors and being give (or buying for $5) quite a few old issues from various lit mags. Enjoyed time at the expansive Wave Books tables (it's Editor-in-Chief, Joshua Beckman, is a dear friend of Leon and Kristen's, as is Catherine Bresner, its publicity director) and spent $30 on three books there. Well worth the $100 senior-discount price although if it comes again I will stick with all the many free and excellent off-site events. I only managed one poetry reading at the Nordic Museum, "Inspired by Iceland," where our friend and wonderful poet Melanie Noel read.
