CRAFT NOTE: The intraLune, a poem consisting of two lunes separated by a line of three syllables, is a variation introduced in 2020 by Robert Kelly, the lune’s inventor.1 Another poet, Jack Collum, is said to have created an earlier, accidental variation on the lune by misremembering the lune’s thirteen-syllable count (three lines: five, three, and five syllables) as a count of thirteen words (three lines: five, three, and five words). Happy accident—and there’s no reason not to use Collum’s variation with the intraLune, too. One way or the other (or both), beat me to it in the comments, if you feel like it.
As always, happy to see your notes. And your poem.
Love this poem! Can't wait to play with the form. Thanks!
